Detention warrants were issued for 101 people this morning as part of an investigation into the Democratic Society Congress (DTK). Police raided addresses in Diyarbakır (Amed), Şırnak (Şirnex) and Adıyaman (Semsur).
Dozens of people have been detained in house raids so far, including 19 lawyers, 17 of them in Diyarbakır.
Lawyer Mehmet Emin Aktar announced the detentions in Diyarbakır on his Twitter account. Aktar wrote, “Many lawyers were detained in Diyarbakır at five in the morning”.

Police confiscated computers, books, and digital materials, reported the Mesopotamia Agency. Lawyers were detained because their names were mentioned in documents seized in earlier operations against the DTK. The Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) co-chair Bünyamin Şeker was among the detained.
Others who were detained include: Bünyamin Şeker, Abdulkadir Güleç, Eshat Aktaç, Serdar Talay, İmran Gökdere, Diyar Çetedir, Serdar Özer, Özüm Vurgun, Feride Laçin, Gevriye Atlı, Resul Tamur, Cemile Turhallı Balsak, Ahmet Kalpak, Devrim Barış Baran, Neşet Girasun, Sedat Aydın, Şivan Cemil Özen and Haknas Sadak.
The detained lawyers were taken to the anti-terror branch of the Diyarbakır Police Department.
