Athens, Greece: A rally was organized in the Greek capital, Athens, advocating for the freedom of Öcalan. The event also condemned Turkey’s ongoing military offensives against Kurdish forces in Iraq and Syria.
London, United Kingdom: A People’s Festival was held at the London Kurdish Community Centre, beginning with a minute of silence to honour those who lost their lives in the struggle for Kurdish freedom. The Revolutionary Youth Movement emphasized the determination of Kurdish youth to take action until they receive news from Öcalan, who has been in absolute isolation for 30 months.
Dortmund to Cologne, Germany: The Freedom Journey, initiated on 4 September in Dortmund, Germany, witnessed the participation of approximately 240 Kurdish and internationalist young individuals. The march, themed “Journey to Freedom” for the release of Öcalan, concluded successfully in Cologne Mülheim after five days.
