The Kurdish Democratic Party’s (KDP’s) forces attacked People’s Defence Forces’ (HPG’s) guerrilla forces near the village of Sêgirê in Amediye in Iraqi Kurdistan. Three guerrillas were seriously injured in the attack, according to local sources.
The KDP had previously sent a large number of military vehicles, heavy weapons and soldiers to the region. The KDP has mobilised military forces in the Gare region since 25 October. These special forces had previously been stationed to the Biradost and Barzan regions as far as Zînî Wertê in Qandil.
On 4 November, KDP forces launched an attack against the Garê area from the Çemankê township. Despite the People’s Defence Forces’ (HPG’s) warnings, they tried to enter the guerrilla camp around Bebadê village with armoured vehicles. Despite the attack attempt, the guerrilla forces have not responded.
