During a mass demonstration on Saturday in Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurds marched against Turkey’s ongoing campaign in Zap, Metina and Avashin regions of northern Iraq.
Over ten political parties and civil society organisations, as well as independent activists and Kurdish citizens joined the march, according to Roj News.
Participants of the march chanted their slogans for “resistance against occupation” and “unity of the Kurds” as they also shared their messages regarding the recent debates over Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces’ transportation of military shipments on the 5th June to the Avashin, Zap and Metina regions of Qandil Mountains, known as the Medya Defence Zones.
