Democratic Union Party (PYD) co-presidency council member Foza Yusif shared her thoughts with Newaya Jin on the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), claiming that “Cooperating with the Turkish state will remove the KDP”.
Yusif said that the national interest is the most important issue and that Kurdish women should be in favour of national unity, no matter their party’s attitudes.
The current war in the Middle East is the Third World War, she said, and the hegemonic international powers do not want to achieve stability in the region. Dialogue between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and the Syrian regime has failed due to the intervention of international forces, said Yusif.
Referring to Turkey’s policies, Yusif said, “Erdoğan aims to deprive Kurds of status everywhere”. This leads Turkey to rely on hegemonic forces, she said.
Yusif also commented on Kurdish National Council’s (ENKS) attitude in North and East Syria and the KDP’s cooperation with Turkey.
