HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan answered the questions of journalist Erdal Er from Medya Haber TV and shared her evalutions regarding the triangle of state-mafia-politics, much disccused after the confessions of the mafia leader Sedat Peker.

Turkish mafia boss Sedat Peker has released a series of YouTube videos watched by millions claiming that former Interior Minister Mehmet Ağar is responsible for the 1990’s unsolved murders including journalist Uğur Mumcu and Kurdish businessmen.

Pervin Buldan whose husband was also among the victims of that period stated that the real target of these mafia relations was always the Kurdish freedom movement and pointed out that the ‘peace process’ was also destroyed by these state related mafia groups led by Erdoğan in 2015.

“The result was a continuity of the war policies in the Kurdish issue. Hundreds more people died,” she said.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s former Minister of the Interior and the former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu also spoke about his resignation period, after Peker’s statements: ”I confess; Binali Yıldırım, Süleyman Soylu and Berat Albayrak set up a conspiracy with the coordination of the President at that time. They have to explain that conspiracy,” he said.

However, Davutoğlu served as Prime Minister during the destruction of the peace process and conflicts accelerated in Kurdish provinces durimg the period of curfews. Pervin Buldan answered Davutoğlu’s comments. ”Turkey fell into a hole that emerged with the collapse of the peace process, a hole created by the AKP,” she said.

“Especially in 2015, the destruction plan established in the National Security Council, resulted in the end of the peace process and the beginning of the military and war process that has brought us to this day,” she stated.

The HDP Co-chair called on Davutoğlu to “clearly reveal the activities of these crime groups during the collapse of peace process.”

She emphasised that the confession scandal and the chaotic state of politics today reveals the intra-state conflict.
