When Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) guerrillas have free time, apart from spending time reading and educating themselves, some also make bracelets to give away as presents.
These presents are made using terebinth grains. They collect the terebinth grains first and roast them until the seeds turn brown. They then pierce the grains with a needle and, using the needle, string the core and beads. They create the bracelets using many coloured threads, and tie them one by one to create different combinations.
