German MP Martina Renner who has served in the German Bundestag representing Die Linke party since 2013 from the neighbouring state of Thuringia tweeted her delight at the legal victory overturning the ruling banning flags and symbols of the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units, YPG and YPJ, in the German state of Bavaria.
The German MP took to Twitter to announce the ruling with a picture of herself holding the YPG flag.
“The Bavarian Supreme Regional Court yesterday ended the persecution of YPG & YPJ symbols in Bayern (Bavaria). A defeat for the Free State and the Federal Ministry of the Interior – a small victory for Kurdish self-defence and a cause for joy for all of us.” She tweeted.
