The Yazidi (Êzîdxan) Women’s Units (YJS) organised an event for 8 March, International Women’s Day on Sinjar Mountains.
Woman guerillas celebrated 8 March with slogans and the traditional Kurdish folk dance, halay.
After the celebrations, the YJS fighters also visited Koço, the village where ISIS carried out a massacre on 3 August, 2014.
They went to the village cemetery in Koço and shared their condolences to the families of people who lost their lives during the massacre.
In a statement the YJS fighters pledged their dedication to the struggle to defend Sinjar.
