Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan scolded the country’s Minister of Trade in front of cameras during an international meeting on Thursday.
The incident took place during a meeting of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) organised in Erdoğan’s presidential palace in Ankara.
The president was caught by the cameras saying “what kind of signature is that,” to minister Mehmet Muş while he was signing some documents. “Change that signature,” Erdoğan ordered Muş.
The OTS leaders gathered for an extraordinary summit to discuss, in particular, the cooperation regarding the impact of the devastating twin earthquakes that hit Turkey’s south on 6 February.
In addition to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan are members of the OTS, while Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have observer status.
