Evaluating the rising tensions between the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Duran Kalkan, a member of the PKK Executive Committee, said that they have attempted on several occasions to solve the problem with the KDP. He stated that the PKK has resisted the invasion of Iraqi Kurdistan since 2007. Kalkan noted that the KDP was included in the plans that aim to eliminate the Kurdish Freedom Movement.
