Celebrations for the Turkish Republic’s centennial – which the government promised to keep “low key”- featured major military demonstrations, with drones, artillery fire and a parade of warships.
The Kurdistan Communities Union issued a statement on Friday, marking the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and called for improved dialogue on the historical Kurdish-Turkish relations.
At least 3,257 children have been killed in Gaza since 7 October, surpassing the annual number of children killed across the world’s conflict zones since 2019, Save the Children has reported.
US-based NGO the Lemkin Institute of Genocide Prevention has expressed disappointment with the report of a UN mission to Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan drove out much of the Armenian population.
