Patriotic Union of Kurdistan President Bafel Talabani has been re-elected at the party’s fifth congress in Suleymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan, where significant changes to the party’s administration are expected
The 2023 report of the International Organised Crime Initiative has identified Turkey as the country with the highest organised crime index in Europe, while ranking the country 14th in the world on the same metric.
Justice may not be served for the death of nine people from the same Kurdish family in Turkey’s eastern Muş province in 1993, as a court postponed the hearing until after the 30-year statute of limitations expires.
Meanwhile, the FilmAmed Documentary Festival began on Wednesday in Diyarbakır while Berlin will also host a Kurdish Film festival in October.
