The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has welcomed Syria’s re-admission to the Arab League and has expressed its readiness to play a role in finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis in a statement on Thursday.
The Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) received a visit from the International İmralı Peace Delegation on Thursday, aimed at bringing attention to the long-standing isolation of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader, Abdullah Öcalan.
Jailed Kurdish politician Selahattin Demirtaş responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s recent appeal to Kurdish voters with a video that chronicled human rights violations during the ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) time in power, adding “We have not forgotten.”
A shooting incident on Thursday morning at a Mercedes-Benz plant in Stuttgart, Germany left two Turkish-origin workers dead with the German police arresting another Turkish-origin worker in connection with the incident.
