Kurdistan Workers’ Party leader Abdullah Öcalan’s 1998 live phone call from Damascus has resurfaced on social media. In August 1998, Öcalan had announced a ceasefire with the hope of a democratic resolution for the Kurdish question on MED TV, broadcasting from Belgium.
Turkish-backed Syrian National Army or SNA militants conducted an attack targeting the Manbij region in northern Syria on Friday. The brutal attack resulted in the death of five children. Ferhad Shami, the head of the Syrian Democratic Forces or SDF media centre condemned the assault.
