A demonstration by pro-Kurdish groups against Sweden’s bid to join NATO faces backlash from the Turkish government, who demand the Nordic country stop the protest as part of its demands to greenlight the NATO process.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Thursday that he was planning to visit Turkish capital Ankara âin the near futureâ to discuss Swedenâs bid to join the alliance.
Abdullah Ăcalan’s representatives at the AsrÄąn Law Office appealed to European anti-torture watchdog CPT for urgent measures to address the complete lack of communication imposed on the jailed Kurdistan Workers’ Party or PKK leader.
