Gabriel Boric, the elected president in a historic victory in Chile, stated in an interview that Kurds in Turkey are being subjected to a murderous and genocidal state. Boric answered “yes” to the question: “You say Israel is a murderous and genocidal state. Does the same hold for Turkey against the Kurds?,” during a TV broadcast.
The interview with Boric was as follows:
Broadcaster: You said Israel was a murderous and genocidal state. Do you stand by your word?
Boris: Yes.
Broadcaster: Do you say it for the Kurds in Turkey?
Boris: Yes, the same for all countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, which violate human rights. These countries must meet international norms. It doesn’t matter how powerful these countries are, regardless of their power, we need to defend the rights of these nations.
