French President Emmanuel Macron invited officials of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) to France, ANHA reports. A delegation of several AANES officials arrived in France upon the invitation.
The delegation consists of the co-chair of the executive committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD), Îlham Ehmed, co-President of the executive council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), Berivan Xalid and the co-chair of the Deir Ezzor Civil Council, Xesan Al-Youssef.
Xalid said the delegation went to Paris upon the request of President Macron and that Macron himself was present during the meeting on Monday, 19th July.
The advisory board of the French Presidency and top government officials also attended the meeting. One of them was Sonia Krimi, a member of the French National Assembly. Krimi also announced the meeting on her Twitter account.

“I welcome the meeting between Emmanuel Macron and the representatives of Rojava. These women and men have defended our values and fought against the barbarity of Daesh, France must support the recognition of Rojava,” she said.
Xalid stated that the Paris discussions revolved around the issues regarding the administrative, social, political and economic structure of North East Syria and also the battle against ISIS.
“The French President expressed that he would continue to support the Autonomous Administration of North East Syria until security and stability are assured in Syria and throughout the region,” she said.
The French side also stated that they will provide military and financial support for the AANES region, she said.
