In a shocking incident, a woman attempted to attack the building jointly used by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and the Green Left Party (YSP) in Adana’s central Seyhan district. She left explosive materials at the entrance and was later caught by party members at a nearby bus stop, along with another woman she met.
The assailant claimed to have been directed by the police, stating, “Who are you, the police sent me.” The building holding the HDP and Green Left Party offices was subsequently placed under police blockade.
The HDP released a statement on the attack, confirming the individual’s admission: “The individual stated that she was directed by the police and admitted that she was the one who attempted the attack.”
