The video of a new song dedicated to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan, sung by 150 Arab musicians, has been released on the anniversary of Öcalan’s abduction and subsequent imprisonment on 15 February 1999, which is commemorated as the “international conspiracy day” by Kurds.
The Hunergeha Welat, a music community that takes part in cultural and artistic activities in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), released the music video of the song named Hurrun Ena, which translates to “I’m free” in English, on Wednesday.
The video, directed by Delil Mirsaz and Bekes Darin, was presented to an audience for the first time on Tuesday evening in a culture and arts centre in the city of Raqqa in North East Syria.
