Actions for the freedom of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan continue in Europe. The sit-in demonstrations which launched at the beginning of the week ended today. Signatures were collected and sent to the United Nations. At the same time the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) victory in Garê was celebrated.
A march was held in Dusseldorf, Germany. European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCKD-E) co-chair Yüksel Koç spoke before the march and said the struggle launched in the scope of the campaign for Öcalan would continue until his release.
In the meantime, vigils, sit-ins and meetings took place in several cities, including Marseilles, Frankfurt, and Stockholm.
