Turkey bombed the city of Tall Rifat (Til Rifat) on 23 January, killing three civilians, including two children, and wounding nine.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has published a statement regarding Turkey’s attacks, noting the fact that the bombing happened very soon after the Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar’s visit to Iraq.

📌Efrin işgalinin 3. yılında bu saldırıyı gerçekleştirmiş olması TC'nin işgalci zihniyetini ortaya koymaktadır. 3 yurttaşımız yaşamını yitirdi, 2'si çocuk, 1'i kadın 9 yurttaşımız da yaralandı. pic.twitter.com/0t7DJBTtfw

“The reason for the visit to Iraq is understood”, said the AANES. Stressing that the attacks are deeply connected with the visits to Iraq and Erbil (Hewlêr), the AANES said Turkey is applying the same aggressive politics in Syria, Iraq, and Northeastern Syria.
“We once again condemn the attacks of the Turkish state against civilians”, said the AANES in their statement. “Turkey continues these attacks despite all international laws. The USA and Russia are also responsible for these attacks. Any military attack against our region will harm the stability of the region. Once again, we focus on the will of our people, who protected themselves and their land. Any attack on our region will further deepen the Syrian crisis”.
