📍 Recent explosions targeting Hezbollah communication devices in Lebanon, allegedly orchestrated by Israel’s Mossad and Unit 8200, killed 29 people and injured over 3,450, escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. In response, Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli positions, while US Senator Bernie Sanders proposed halting US arms sales to Israel amid rising concerns over civilian casualties.
📍 The Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers met to address Turkey’s ongoing human rights violations, particularly the isolated detention of Abdullah Öcalan, urging Turkey to comply with international rulings and standards.
📍 Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları raised concerns about the connection between a discovered arms depot and the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, calling for a full investigation.
