One child was killed and four civilians were injured in a bombing attack by the Turkish state and its affiliated forces in Ain Issa, northeastern Syria, on 19 March.
The Turkish state and its affiliated forces bombed the Hedere village in Ain Issa. Zehra Salih El Sibeyon and Necib İbrahim El Şex are the names of two injured civilians, who have been taken to Şehit Ömer Eluş Hospital.
Meanwhile violent clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Turkey’s affiliated groups continue in the village of Muelek in Ain Issa. The Turkish state heavily shelled the village of Seyda and northern regions of the district to expand its occupation, according to reports.
Regarding the clashes last night, the SDF Press Information Centre made a statement saying that two of their fighters lost their lives, while 16 members of Turkish-backed groups were killed. “The bombing of Ain Issa has continued since early yesterday morning. During the assaults on civilian settlements, two children were killed. Two of our heroic fighters lost their lives, while one was injured. Personal information about our martyred fighters will be announced later”.
Attacks began on 18 November
The Turkish state has been targeting Ain Issa since 18 November, when Turkish-backed armed groups attacked the village of Mişêrifê in northeastern Syria. Toxar village in Manbij, Tell Tamer, and Zirgan have also been attacked.
The SDF has stated several times that they will resist attacks by using legitimate defensive tactics.
