After the failure of Turkey’s military operation in the Gara mountainous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, mothers from Kobani Families of Martyrs commented on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) guerrillas’ defence of the region.
The Turkish army had launched a military operation in the Gara region on 10 February.
However, it failed due to the resistance of PKK forces in the region and it withdrew. Kurdish people celebrated upon hearing the news of the withdrawal.
Mothers from Kobani Families of Martyrs spoke about the successful resistance actions of the PKK.
