Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) Co-Chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar released a new year’s message on Saturday calling for a joint struggle in 2023.
“We are hopeful against wars and deaths in the world and in our country, increasing hunger and poverty, rising fascism, unlawfulness and obscuration and we believe that we will change it,” the HDP said, adding that people in Turkey had no choice but to defeat the darkness with a common struggle.
“There is very little left for the change of this evil regime that left the people breathless,” the party said, implying the upcoming elections in 2023, before celebrating everyone’s new year:
“2023 will be the spring for the people of Turkey. With this hope and faith, we celebrate the new year of the people! Sersala me pîroz be!”
