Andair, a British company based in Hampshire, England, making precision aircraft components confirmed by telephone to Medya News this morning that the company has stopped supplying components to the Turkish drone company Baykar Savunma.
The company decided to stop supplying the component which was confirmed to Medya News as a Gascolator or fuel filter after being approached by the Armenian Embassy and informed that their components were being used on Turkish military drones.
Mark Campbell, a spokesperson for the Kurdistan Solidarity Campaign reacted to the news.
‘This is a very significant moment in the campaign to stop all arms sales and components used in Turkey’s war machine. This company is to be congratulated for doing the right thing and we urge the UK government to follow Andair’s lead by banning all arms sales and components used in Turkey’s military equipment including and especially drones that have been proved to have been used against civilians in NE Syria’.
