The Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan has met with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow for talks on a ceasefire deal over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
After the meeting, Lavrov said that Russia was working with the two other co-chairs of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Minsk group, as well as France and the US, on developing the mechanisms to facilitate a ceasefire.
Lavrov said there would be no changes to the format of the talks, after Azerbaijan proposed that its ally Turkey should be involved in the conflict settlement process. Any delays to the process would be “wrong”, he said.
Lavrov was speaking to reporters in Moscow after talks with the Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Meanwhile Azeri and Armenian forces accused each other of launching new attacks in and around Nagorno-Karabakh.
