Amjad Amini, the father of Jina Mahsa Amini, who lost her life in the hands of Iran’s morality police, continues to endure harassment and pressure from Iranian security forces, but has vowed to commemorate his daughter’s death.
A number of organisations in Syria have joined forces to call for urgent action to address the water crisis caused by Turkey’s control of the Euphrates and Alouk water station.
US Senator Bob Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued a statement calling for commitment to the recent de-escalation efforts in northeast Syria, emphasising the need for cooperation among regional actors.
And Italian cartoonist Zerocalcare has stressed the need to break down the distinction that the West draws between the Kurdish movement in northeastern Syria and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
