Three children died and two others were injured under fire from Turkish howitzers in Tax Tamir (Til Temir) in the northeastern Syrian province of Hasakah on Monday evening.
The five children were aged between four and 14, Mezopotamya news reported.
The Turkish attack claimed the lives of 10-year-old Meryem Xidir Iwês, four-year-old Itîdal Iwês and eight-year-old Ebdil Ezîz Iwês, the news agency said.
Turkey frequently attacks Kurdish-controlled territories in northeast Syria with both air and ground forces, claiming that the Kurdish armed groups in the region pose a national security threat.
