Four Kurds died and two others were seriously wounded after Syrian National Army affiliated fighters opened fire following a verbal altercation between members of the faction and local citizens that were celebrating the Kurdish new year, Newroz.
Prominent Kurdish politician and former HDP MP Ahmet Türk spoke at the Newroz celebration in Diyarbakir (Amed) on Tuesday, calling for Kurds to act in unity and to not support the Turkish government in elections.
