According to an initial report by ANF, Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Executive Board member Murat Karayılan has stated that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a delegation to the PKK just a few months ago. Karayılan stated that he wanted to warn Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Mesut Barzani face-to-face at the request of this delegation. ANF reported that PKK’s Murat Karayılan’s statements regarding this issue will be broadcast on Stêrk TV at 20:00 on Thursday night.
According to ANF, Karayılan will also speak about the cross-border operation of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) in the Qandil Mountains, the behind the scenes nature of the attack on the KDP special units which were heading to Metîna on 5 June, the efforts of Turkey to include KDP forces in the cross-border operation, the visit of Turkey’s Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar to Erbil (Hewler) and the outcomes of the meeting the KDP held on 20 May. He will also issue important statements about the ongoing tensions and relations between the PKK and the KDP.
